Abby Fritz

Fritz was an audio tech for the April 2022 session of the NPR Next Generation Radio and NAJA collaboration in Syracuse, NY. She assisted the head audio tech in teaching five mentees how to produce an audio story using Audition. On top of teaching the multitrack editing program, she also did sound design and production for three of the five audio stories. 

Fritz is currently heading the production of The Stand's upcoming podcast set to release in April of 2022. She is working to report and produce the series for the local newspaper with the goal of engaging Syracuse's South Side community through accessible audio news.

As executive producer, Fritz managed, edited, and produced The Daily Orange's weekly podcast that covered news and culture in the greater Syracuse, NY area.

Personal Taste is a podcast produced, hosted, and edited for The NewsHouse by Fritz. The mini-series investigates cooking through personal histories and recipes from local Syracuse residents.

As the sole producer of The NewsHouse's sports podcast, Fritz produced audio on a weekly basis and consulted hosts on best recording practices both in-studio and in the field.
